When it comes to serving vegan garlic bread, there are plenty of options. First and foremost, you can serve it as a side dish to accompany any pasta, soup or salad. This bread has so much flavor, it can easily stand on its own or beside any savory main meal.

Another option is to slice the garlic bread into smaller pieces or crostinis and pair them with dips, spreads or other appetizers such as vegan cheese plate or a veggie platter. You can also serve it with some marinara dipping sauce for an Italian twist.

For a more indulgent option, you can turn this bread into a full-on cheesy garlic bread by adding vegan cheese on top or mixing some grated vegan cheese into the buttery garlic mixture before spreading it over the baguette.

Additionally, if you’re looking for a gluten-free version of this recipe, simply substitute the all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour, and the results will still be just as mouth-watering delicious.

Roasted garlic herb bread is another variety that can be made using this recipe as a base. Simply roast some whole garlic cloves in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and fragrant. Then, chop them finely and add them to the butter mixture along with some fresh herbs such as thyme, rosemary, and sage.

Make-Ahead, Storing and Reheating

Make sure to have some napkins on hand, you're going to need them.
Make sure to have some napkins on hand, you’re going to need them.

Making this vegan garlic bread ahead of time is a great time-saver! You can prepare it up to a day ahead, wrap it tightly with foil or plastic wrap, and store it in the refrigerator. If you want to keep it for longer than a day, you can freeze it after baking. Either way, you’ll have a fresh batch of garlic bread ready to go whenever you need it, without any added fuss.

When reheating, preheat your oven or toaster oven to 350°F (180°C). Remove the garlic bread from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 10 minutes before reheating. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the bread becomes crispy outside and warm inside.

If you prefer softer crusts, you can reheat the bread in the microwave. Wrap each slice of garlic bread in a damp paper towel and heat for 15 to 30 seconds until warm throughout.

When storing leftovers, be sure to store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or in the fridge for up to four days. Leftovers that have been frozen can be thawed at room temperature for several hours before reheated.

A tip when making this recipe ahead of time is slicing your baguette only partially through; this way all the flavors get infused while making the dough become crunchy on the exterior and remain chewy on the inside. Regardless of which option you choose, reheating or starting anew, this garlic bread recipe is guaranteed satisfaction.

If you want your vegan garlic bread to turn out as perfectly as possible, then it’s essential that you pay attention to the following tips. Trust me, I’ve made this recipe countless times and these tips never fail to produce the most delicious and fragrant garlic bread.

First tip is to use 6 cloves of garlic in the recipe, finely minced or crushed using a garlic crusher. The quantity of garlic mentioned in the recipe may seem overwhelming but it truly brings out the flavor in this dish. For those who love extra garlicky taste, 8 cloves can also be minced or crushed and added.

Secondly, it’s important to preheat your oven at precisely 375°F before placing your vegan garlic bread to bake; this will make sure the temperature is just right for baking. Heating the oven correctly makes a significant difference in making sure the bread is crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside.

Thirdly, when mixing up the butter and garlic mixture, consider adding some sea salt and herbs like basil and chives. It gives a beautiful aroma and enhanced savory taste that makes you want to savor each bite.

Another key tip is related to serving suggestions – if you are planning on having it with soup, pasta or salad then do not cut it into small pieces. Instead, cut them into long slices so that they are perfect for dipping into your favorite sauce!

Last but not least, for those who have specific dietary needs or preferences like gluten-free or dairy-free etc., try swapping all-purpose flour with almond flour or coconut flour which are excellent substitutes for wheat flour and use vegan cheese instead of dairy cheese for topping. Moreover olive oil can be used instead of vegan butter without any change in taste.

By following these simple tips you’ll end up with a delicious batch of vegan garlic bread that will leave everyone asking for more!
